[V.O.W.S.] Armed Assault Field Manual      .

Welcome to The Visionaries Of  War Specialists ArmA field manual. Please make a copy if you have to, but do not be found without this manual.  It is the life blood of our organization.   In this manual we will cover each of the branches ranks, roles, tactics and mission objectives.  It is very important to know what not only YOUR job is, but all those around you as well.  Let’s proceed shall we?

The Basics

Everything we do out there relies heavily on following orders and working as a team.  If you do not follow orders well, you will not be with us long.  There are no power trips in our clan.  Every order has a purpose.  Even if you do not agree with your commanding officer’s choices, you will carry their wishes out to the best of your ability.

There are no heroes in this combat simulation.  So, going Rambo will not only get you booted, but banned as well.

Excessive friendly fire will NOT be tolerated, not following orders, not working as a team, are all grounds for a ban.

Warning:  This simulation will require some level of role playing.

The Army Corps.

===RANKS===

--ARMY--

General of the Army-- Controls all of the Army's ops.

Major- Leader of a fireteam
Make sure his fireteam can handle any ground obstacle. Should avoid frontline activity. The major should not do anything without order from Generals.  Majors may also drive any ground vehicle.  The Major should try to rotate positions as well as pick soldiers for their best roles in serious simulation.  Major can pick any weapon he chooses.

Captain- Second under the Major in a fireteam
Takes over command of fireteam if Major should fall. At that time all of Major's attributes will apply to Captain.  While Major is serving duties, the Captain may only operate tanks and heavy assault vehicles while also avoiding frontline.  If the Major decides to split the team, Captain will command the second team.  The Captain may also pick any weapon he chooses.

1st Lieutenant- Third in command of a fireteam.
Takes over command if Major and Captain should fall and all of Major's attributes will apply at this point.  The 1st Lieutenant has access to the sniper rifle.

2nd Lieutenant- Fourth in command of a fireteam.
Takes over command if Major, Captain, and 1st Lieutenant should fall.  Takes over all of Majors attributes if this is to happen.  He also has access to the sniper rifle.

Private- Under the command of his fireteams leader.
Radios for evacuation when all higher ranked officers should fall.  May not be able to use sniper rifle.
 Privates are the frontline infantry and may do nothing without order.  The private may only drive Hummers or light assault vehicles unless otherwise ordered.

===MISSION STATEMENT===

The Army division is the muscle of our efforts.  Their primary goal and mission is to provide support in the advance of our attacks.  The army relies on their numbers and their loud weaponry.  While using some restraint, when ordered to fire they shoot first and ask questions later.  They may also be called upon to lace ground targets for air force relief.

The Marine Corps.

===RANKS===

--MARINES--

General Of the Marines- Controls all of the Marine's ops.

Major- Leader of a fireteam.
Makes sure his fireteam carries suppressed weaponry and is equipped with night vision goggles, smoke, and flares.  The Major should try to avoid all enemy presence and remain undetected.
He may choose only suppressed weapons.  Primary goal is to provide recon and intel to General.
His secondary goal is to infiltrate and hinder enemy presence to aid army's efforts as well as provide targets for air force. Major may drive any vehicle Major will receive orders from Generals but chooses the best COA and may deviate from initial routes.

Captain- Second under the Major in a fireteam.
Captain takes over command should the Major fall.  Above attributes and goals of Major then apply. They may drive any vehicle.  He also should try to avoid enemy presence and remain undetected.

1st Lieutenant- Third in command of a fireteam.
Takes over command should Major and Captain fall.  All goals and attributes of Major then apply.  He is primary source of intel, assuming the role of a scout.  He should report any signs of enemy presence to the leader of his fireteam.  He should not fire unless ordered or engaged.  Also coordinates movement of secondary intel.

2nd Lieutenant- Fourth in command of a fireteam.
Takes over command should Major, Captain, and 1st Lieutenant fall.  All goals and attributes of Major then apply.  His primary goal is to assist the 1st Lieutenant in recon efforts. ex. While covering a horizon 1st Lieutenant may cover left then it would be second Lieutenant’s job to cover the right.

Private- Under command of his fireteams leader.
To call for extraction should all the above fall.  Primary role is to support recon
 and may drive hummers or light assault vehicles unless ordered otherwise.

===MISSION STATEMENT===

The sole and primary purpose of the Marine Core is to be the tip of our spear.  Their job is to infiltrate enemy lines first, recon enemy movement and positions, lace ground targets for the air force, and remain undetected if at all possible.  The marines are always outnumbered and they prefer it that way.  They do not fire upon enemy presence unless ordered to or are engaged by the enemy.  If their positions are compromised they may do whatever is necessary to remain alive.

New sections will be added after game is fully released……………….
