| WE WANT SWAT 5!!!!! |
Thanks to Hawk_2_6 for posting a link in our forums to a petition requesting Swat 5. It is kind of hidden, so I am posting it here:

All members are required to sign this petition. (all should want to anyway) and lets all try to get a few friends to do the same. IT DOESNT GET ANY BIGGER THAN THIS FELLAS. We have a chance to let Sierra know that there is a market for this game and it is long overdue. I thank you for your efforts regarding this crucial matter.

| [VOWS] Server in need of YOUR help |
[VOWS] has been very pleased to provide all members and friends alike the most realistic, tactical experience with the SWAT series going on 9 years now. We have not asked for many folks to contribute to server costs and have even slid down a notch in order to keep the fees resaonable. Stinger posted this request in our forums, but it is a much more serious problem and needs to have a spotlight put on it. We are asking everyone who participates on our SWAT 4 server to donate what they can. Even if its 2 dollars. Every bit of it helps. Your contribution will not be used for anything other than server costs. If we receive too much, it will be carried over to the next payment. I know it is the holiday season and money is tough, but we are asking you give what you can. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated. This will allow us to continue to provide the community with a quality place to learn and be a part of. Please do what you can. Thank you.

| [VOWS] is proud to announce yet another member to our great clan. [VOWS]_Dark has now been granted tags. I know that you all have been seeing quite a few tags being issued recently. Our newest members have been working a long time, and putting forth great efforts to achieve their tags. So, I dont want to discourage our new recruits, but it is not easy getting in to this clan, for a reason. It just so happens that these officers were ready for membership around the same time. | [VOWS] News Update |
Hello folks! There has been a lot going on as of late. In case you havent heard, our friends over at lARUl are once again hosting another Co-Op tournament. We look to defend our title from the last one held. Teams are forming and we could always use more people. Send PM's to Stinger if interested. I want to throw an idea out there, maybe we could add a team called [VOWS-Rec] in to the mix. That team would consist of hopeful members that havent been granted tags, but have been notified they are under review. What better way to get noticed, than to perform and display [VOWS] tactics in a real competition? Just an idea.
[VOWS] is proud to announce that we have accepted Luiggy as a member. If you see him around, be sure to give him a warm welcome.
As our clan continues to grow, we cannot lose focus. Focus on teamwork, tactics and building chemistry with your teammates is what we are all about. Do YOUR part out there to make sure that ALL players join our server get the chance to participate in something not found anywhere else. When you wear [VOWS] wear it proudly and know that you represent our clan while wearing them. This doesnt mean be cocky, but bestill the integrity of the name. I myself will periodically be joining the server to observe gameplay and tactics. I may be doing this with a different name, maybe my real name. I dont have a working mic, but will be observing. Just giving a heads up!! I look forward to seeing you guys out there.

| [VOWS] Going for a new look |
Greetings everyone,
Our site will be undergoing a makeover very soon. We have started a thread in our forums for MEMBERS ONLY to post their input and ideas. This will be going on for a limited time, so if you wish to throw your 2 cents in, now would be the time. While we can't promise to do all of your ideas, they will be considered and might make it to the final cutting board. I will be posting a new survey to hear what other members and the community thinks of our new look when complete as well.
In other news, activity has once again picked back up for ArmA, as the game has been updated greatly and the gaming experience depends on the server you join. More details about this in the ArmA section of our forums.
[VOWS]-Stinger has been working with mapping and editing within SWAT 4 as well. New content is still coming out for SWAT 4, but it is few and pretty far between. We will continue to scour the universe in search to provide new and exciting content. If you have any news of mods, missions or maps being released...LET US KNOW ABOUT IT!! Post in our SWAT section of the forums.

A lot of things to update this time around........
GTA IV has been released!!!! Solid average rating of 9.5/10 has been given by all of the top gaming sites. I personally think it was an awesome accomplishment. After beating it, I can say it delivered a unique experience to which I have not ever witnessed. You simply must try this game out.
Ok, now clan business. Let me first say that it is very nice to see the SWAT community still active and to have some fresh faces around here and on our servers. All new comers, please make sure that you have read and understand our code BEFORE playing on our servers. You are fully expected to know its contents and abide by them wether your trying out or just showing up for some good games. We want you to have fun, but we also expect you to follow our rules. Our server log is being watched, so be careful of your play and communications while playing with us. I wish you luck, a genuine tactical experience and fun of coarse!! If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you.

A VERY SPECIAL PERSON AND DEAR FRIEND
It is with a VERY heavy heart and great sadness that I announce this news. Chris (aka Firemarshall) has been diagnosed with a terminal / inoperable brain tumor. The doctors reported that he doesnt have much time left. This news hit me like a ton of bricks, as it did anyone that knew Chris. Chris is a long time [VOWS] member. He has a family, worked two jobs and still found time for us. Chris work at The Tactical Gamer Planet and made it possible for them to host our website and Teamspeak channels. Among that, he has invested countless hours gaming with us in SWAT3 / SWAT4.
With this world getting crazier by the minute, its hard to believe that there are still good people out there. So many people just in it for themselves. Chris is the opposite of that. He is a caring, kind and generous man. Something this world needs more of. Being surround by tremendous people (here in [VOWS] ) we sometimes take that for granted. I would like to thank Chris for being a friend, member and an all around great person. You will never be forgotten. May your current journey be one of success and joy. My prayers are with you and your family Chris. God Bless.
------UPDATE
A few very important announements to be had in this update of our news section this week: First, I have received word the Chris (aka Firemarshall) underwent a proceedure to "shrink" the tumor and that it was a success. It shrunk its size considerably and will allow him more time. It is very good news to hear!!! I would like to thank all of our members and community who prayed for him during this time, who offered support and who took the time to care. Keep strong Chris and you will continue to be in our prayers and best wishes. If we can do anything for you, just let us know.
Second, its been a long time coming (way too long if you ask me) but I am officially announcing that I will be returning back to active duty the first part of May, 08. I will be showing up on our servers and I am looking forward to leading some top quality co-op games with you guys. Its felt like a huge part of me had been missing and I am glad to be able to get that back. So count on getting some good tactical games in with me fellas!!! I will need help in getting updates and a breifing of the changes etc.... but I plan on picking up where I left off so long ago. ArmA included..... I will be seeing you guys soon.

As our participation continues in the SWAT series, so does our recruitment. We have been seeing a lot of good recruits and requests for tryouts. Please note, that our tryout process is not a one time shot. It is an evaluation process that has no set time. The more you participate and show you can follow and understand orders, the quicker you can become a member. That isnt all that is required though. We only accept the BEST in every field. If you havent been accepted, please do not get discouraged. You may just need to practice and try harder. Effort does not go unnoticed in this clan. Thank you for your time and effort and good luck in this process.
I also wanted to clear up one other thing. If you register with our site/forums and it is accepted, this does not mean you have been accepted as a clan member. It merely allows you access to our forums and other areas of our site. The [VOWS] tag is VERY hard to come by and the appropriate respect should be shown to those dawning them. [VOWS] continues to remain active the SWAT 4 community. Our server issues have been resolved and we appreciate all of your patience during the down time. We are back to provide a mature tactical gaming experience for those who wish it. We are still recruiting and you should check out the forums for a formal request.
[VOWS] has also established clan activity in Call Of Duty 4. There is now a dedicated section in our forums with roster information and other activities. Be sure to support your clan and to check that section out. If anyone has questions about recruitment, please contact Desrat.
